Open Enrollment
Before being asked the question below, shareholders were provided with this statement: Many Native corporations have considered or implemented open enrollment for descendants. Increasing the number of Huna Totem shareholders would allow descendants to more fully engage in the corporation but would reduce the amount of dividends that current shareholders would receive. There are also significant costs to the corporation related to creating open enrollment.
Responses concerning HTC shareholder support for open enrollment were evenly split with 40 percent of shareholders either supportive or strongly supportive, and 39 percent opposed, and strongly opposed. One out of five stated they did not know.
